New Patch

Our neighbour asked us to share his patch in late May. Of course we agreed immediately!

Beds got dug over and weeded. The patch I’m stading in holds our tomato crop. Behind me is a long sunken patch which the big guy planted with some corn that he started from seed – popcorn, it’s an experiment! In front and kitty corner is a brick lined patch which had previously been new ground covered in black plastic. The plan is to plant squash in there (you can see the small squashes in pots in the photograph). In larger sized pots are a selection of gooseberry bushes and a white currant bush.

Making a start on the new patch June 2021. as seen from the top of our plot’s stairs by the Damask Rose.
