Russian Sage

There is a well established patch of Russian Sage in the woods, growing along ‘Mary Rose Lane’ (named in honour of Mary Barnes, who started the woods volunteer group and oversaw the woods plantings and care from 2000 to 2010).

Russian Sage are drought tolerant plants for sunny conditions, and require little care once established, making them perfect for self-maintaining perennial beds.  They have silvery foliage with long spires of pale blue flowers.
