Earwigs are ominovores – just like us! They can be a benefit to the garden as they eat other pests. And are part of nature’s great chain of being, thus are also a vital for keeping the local birds alive and well.
If you find earwig are targeting flowers like dahlia or clematis, trap them and release elsewhere (eg into a compost area!).
