Ladybirds are a gardener’s friend. They gently rove over your garden flowers and plants and devour the gardener’s enemy: aphids.
Every garden needs lots of ladybirds, and one sure way to ensure this is to leave wild and untidy areas in your yard. So hold back on your tidying and leave small piles of rotted wood in shady corners. Leave small areas of rubble, rocks and broken bricks. Make sure there’s a water source. Believe me: if you do these simple things you will have plenty of ladybirds to wage war against the aphids on your behalf.
