Propogating Fuschia
- by softwood cuttings – spring through summer
- semi-ripe cuttings – late summer with bottom heat
- hardwood cuttings – late autumn before severe frosts. Set in cold frame and ensure soil remains moist through winter. Once cuttings have rooted in early spring, pot on.
Fuchsia – Jolly Macon
Jolly Macon were developed in Germany. Semi-hardy.
- Prefers full- or partial-shade.
- Plant 12 inches apart.
- Grows 12-18 inches (30-40cm) high by 8-12 inches (20-30cm) wide.
- Flowers May to September
- Flowers are white and lavender/light purple, single-blossomed.
- Will flower continuously throughout the summer to September with regular dead-heading.
- Feed every 2 weeks with plant fertiliser.
Fuschia Jollies Reims
Semi-hardy. Plant in full- or partial-shade.
- Plant 12 inches apart.
- Grows 12-18 inches (30-40cm) high by 8-12 inches (20-30cm) wide.
- Flowers May to September, pink-pink, single-blossomed. Will flower continuously throughout the summer to September with regular dead-heading.
- Plant from April to August, 12 inches (30 cm) apart.
We planted Fuschia Jollies Macon (single, white & light purple) and Fuschia Jollies Reims (single, pink & pink) on 3 June 2018 in the back patch flower bed under the cherry tree.
