Waldorf Salad

This is a great way to use up the glut of apples you may be facing on your allotment.

Simple and easy – use proportions to suit your tastes.

Core & cut apples (leaving skin on if you prefer) and quickly sprinkle with lemon juice to minimise browning.

Thinly slice celery into your bowl of apples.

Add mayonnaise – less is more!

Sprinkle with toasted walnut pieces and serve on a bed of crunchy lettuce.
