Brimstone Butterfly (Gonepteryx rhamni)

CIMG7388copyWe spotted what we think is a female Brimstone butterfly, hiding in among the jasmine leaves.   (Gonepteryx Rhamni)

One view is that butterflies are named for the buttery-yellow wings of male Brimstones.
