Essex Skipper (Thymelicus lineola)

This fuzzy-faced dusky little butterfly has four sets of wings and could easily be mistaken for a moth.

The Essex Skipper is a small skipper, and is a common butterfly and is found in sunny sites and roadside verges and edges of woodland.
